A root touch-up rebalances growing natural hair with previously coloured lengths. Many clients feel the need within 4–6 weeks, but grey density, contrast and growth speed shift that window.
How often?
Light dye on dark natural hair shows early. Grey coverage tolerance is personal. Low-contrast tones can stretch longer. We look at actual regrowth, not the diary alone, to avoid over-processing the scalp.
Why colour only the roots?
Repeating permanent colour on already coloured lengths can build up, darken ends and dry them out. When only the regrowth needs work, we stay at the roots and gloss or treat mids and ends if needed.
Is grey coverage the same as a gloss refresh?
No. Grey coverage targets natural white hair. A gloss refresh revives faded mids and ends. Both can happen in one visit but may use different products and timings.
What to mention before booking
